Enhanced features allow you to have full control of learning progress
The British Council launched the brand new adult English course myClass early this year to cater to the English learning needs of busy adults in Hong Kong. The flexible learning model allows students to select lessons that best suit their interests and schedule, and to change their bookings the day before the start of each class. Students don’t need to worry about missing a lesson due to unexpected events, like working overtime or being sent on a business trip overseas.
In view of the popularity and increasing demand of the course, the British Council has recently introduced a new upper-intermediate level, while adding a variety of new features on the myClass online booking system to bring myClass students a more enjoyable learning experience. To support the myClass lessons, students can also enjoy a wide range of myClub activities to practice their English in a relaxed and social environment.
More effective learning with Study Planner and Learning Index
myClass is for students at pre-intermediate, intermediate and upper intermediate levels, with a focus on listening and speaking. Each level contains 18 themes and 72 lessons which all contain practical and functional language related to work, social or everyday English.
A Study Planner has been introduced on the online booking system to help students plan bookings, and a new range of day time classes have also been added to the schedule. These enhancements enable students to search for suitable lessons easily and better organise their learning schedule. Also, by fully utilising the online learning resources, students can prepare for lessons and consolidate what they have learnt in class, as well as monitoring their learning progress through the weekly-updated Learning Index.
Select lessons on the go with the upgraded myClass app
The myClass app is designed for myClass students to learn English anytime, anywhere. With all the new features of the myClass website, including lesson booking and cancellation, students can change their schedule on the go. The upgraded myClass app, to be launched soon, will be available on Android and iOS platforms.
myClass lessons, which are 100% face-to-face are taught by professional teachers with internationally recognised qualifications. Andrea Hales, Deputy Teaching Centre Manager of British Council Hong Kong, said, “This teaching format enables students to practise English speaking and pronunciation in an authentic language context. Our teachers will give students individualised feedback and advice on their learning so they can recognise their strengths and weaknesses, and build confidence in using English.”
Students who register for myClass adult English courses with designated credit cards can enjoy an interest-free instalment plan (terms and conditions apply).
