British Council’s Winter Intensive Courses allow students to learn and practise English in a fun way during Christmas Holidays
Enjoy a 10% discount for early registration on or before 29 November 2014

Christmas is in less than six weeks! The Christmas break is not only a good time to enjoy the festive season, but also a golden opportunity for students to sharpen their English skills. The British Council is introducing a series of Winter Intensive Courses this year for K2 to S2 students to help them learn and practise English in a fun-filled environment, make the best use of Christmas Holidays and prepare for the new semester at the same time. All these interactive and fun-filled courses are taught by the experienced and internationally qualified teachers of the British Council.

This year, the British Council launches the brand new ‘English Escapades’ course for P1 students to improve speaking skills and develop creativity. With the help of the teacher, students’ inner imagination will be fully explored through a series of exciting games such as puzzle-solving, story-writing making, and character invention.  Students will have plenty of opportunities to express their ideas and opinions in English. K3 students can join the ‘Adventures with the Gingerbread Man’ course, which helps sharpen their reading and writing skills through stories, poems, treasure hunts, crafts and role play. The ‘Say It with Style’ course is suitable for S1 and S2 students who want to improve speaking skills and pronunciation in both formal and informal situations. They can boost their confidence through presentations, interviews, surveys, and role play.

Other exciting courses include ‘Winter Wonderland – English through Poetry’ for K2 students, ‘Interview Skills for Secondary 1 Admission’ for P6 students, and ‘Cambridge Exam Preparation – Success in Flyers’ for P3 to P6 students. For those who register on or before 29 November 2014 will enjoy an early bird discount of 10%[1]. Students can also get a free British Council school bag after the course registration is completed successfully.

Winter Intensive Courses will be held on 27 – 31 December 2014 at the British Council’s Admiralty English language centre.

About the British Council

The British Council is the UK’s international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. We create international opportunities for the people of the UK and other countries and build trust between them worldwide.

We work in more than 100 countries and our 7,000 staff – including 2,000 teachers – work with thousands of professionals and policy makers and millions of young people every year by teaching English, sharing the arts and delivering education and society programmes. In Hong Kong, we have been doing this since 1948, giving people opportunities to learn, share and connect worldwide.

We are a UK charity governed by Royal Charter. A core publically-funded grant-in-aid provides less than 25 per cent of our turnover, which last year was £781m. The rest of our revenues are earned from services which customers around the world pay for, through education and development contracts and from partnerships with public and private organisations. All our work is in pursuit of our charitable purpose and supports prosperity and security for the UK and globally.
