How can you help your child enjoy learning English, or achieve success on their HKDSE exams? Come and attend our workshops on 25 January. Our experienced teachers will show you useful tips and techniques that you can apply to you and your children’s studies.

Audience: Parents of existing Kindergarten 1 to Secondary 6 students and Secondary 5 and 6 students

Kindergarten 1 to 3 workshops (For parents)

Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2
Learning through play - Engage your children in play and help them learn English at the same time
Activity timeslots: 10.30 a.m. – 11.15 a.m. or 2.15 p.m. – 3.00 p.m.

Kindergarten 3
Getting ready for P1 - Prepare your K3 child for P1 English
Activity timeslots: 11.15 a.m. – 12.00 p.m. or 3.00 p.m. – 3.45 p.m.

Primary 1 to 6 workshops (For parents)
Primary 1 and Primary 2

Fun ways to practice spelling and grammar - Learn ways to revise spelling and grammar with your children
Activity timeslots: 12.00 p.m. – 12.45 p.m.  or 3.45 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. 

Primary 3 and Primary 4
How to help children with their reading skills - Find out practical ways to help your children develop their reading skills and encourage reading for pleasure
Activity timeslots: 10.30 a.m. – 11.15 a.m. or 2.00 p.m. – 2.45 p.m.

Primary 5 and Primary 6
How to help children remember vocabulary - Discover practical, fun activities you can do at home with your children to help them learn and remember vocabulary
Activity timeslot: 11.30 a.m. – 12.15 p.m.  

Secondary 1 to 4 workshops (For parents)

Secondary 1 and Secondary 2
How to support your child with their English - Learn strategies to help you support your child’s English language skills as they enter secondary school
Activity timeslot: 12.30 p.m. – 1.15 p.m. 

Secondary 3 and Secondary 4
A parent’s guide to DSE and how to support your child - Pick up tips on how best to support your child through the DSE exam
Activity timeslot: 3.00 p.m. – 3.45 p.m. 

Secondary 5 and 6 workshops (For students and parents)
The DSE Writing paper – troubleshooting - Find out ways to avoid five common mistakes, as well as practical tips to improve writing
Activity timeslot: 4.00 p.m. – 4.45 p.m. . 

 

Book fair

A book fair will be held on the 3rd floor by Global Press Marketing. They will gather a collection of books that parents and children love and have been impressed with, including a variety of children’s picture books, activity books to help practise reading and vocabulary, readers and some parent’s guides for supporting children’s learning and development.

 All activities will be held in English, are free of charge and available only with advance registration on a first-come, first-served basis (walk-in registration will not be available). Register now.
