Attend our practical and fun Open House with your child to develop their English skills and confidence through various fun activities in an English learning environment. You’ll find out more about our course structure, teaching methodology, and how our courses can effectively improve children’s English ability. You can also experience our tailor-made English learning environment and facilities through our tour.

Enjoy attractive offers on our English courses on the event day. K2-K3 parents can book a free phonics assessment* for their child.

Audience: Parents and new students of Pre-school (1-3 years old) and Kindergarten 

Activities are held in English. They are free of charge and available only with advance registration on a first-come, first-served basis (walk-in registration will not be available).

Activities

Introduction to our teaching methodology

  • Our internationally qualified teachers will introduce our course structure and teaching methodology and how our courses can complement and support the work at school, improving children’s English skills.

Tour around British Council Teaching Centre^

  • a tour around British Council, to help you understand our tailor-made English teaching environment and facilities.

Fun activities for children

We will arrange different fun activities for specific age groups.

Pre-schools (1-3 years old):

  • a treasure hunt for insects and sea creatures, throwing beanbags, kitchen role play and mark making
  • parents can understand how to help children develop language and communication, creativity, logic and reasoning, motor skills and an understanding of the world around them.

Kindergarten (K1-K3):

  • a selection of age appropriate art and craft activities
  • parents can understand how to help children develop fine motor skills, communication skills and problem-solving skills.

Pre-school (1-3 years old) 11.30 - 13.30 or
16.00 - 18.00
Kindergarten (K1-K3)

09.30 - 11.30 or
14.00 - 16.00

Each parent can register for one activity only. If a parent registers for more than one activity, only the latest registration record will be valid.

*Free phonics assessments are only available to Kindergarten 2 and 3 students who have not taken our English entry test in the last six months (26 April to 25 October 2015).

^Pre-school parents are required to bring along their child to the tour.
