Both Sides Now is a video art exchange project curated and produced by videoclub (UK) and Videotage (HK). The aim of the project is to open up dialogue between China and Hong Kong and British film artists, academics, curators and audiences. Working with artists’ moving image, animation and documentary films - produced by artists from Hong Kong and the UK - it aims to reinterpret the experience of here and now for both cultures.

The screening programme at the British Council presents contemporary and historical film and video work from the UK, curated by Jamie Wyld of videoclub. It contains work by some of the UK’s most exciting artists working in film and video, and varies between animation, documentary and artist’ moving image. Artists in the programme include:
