Cancellation of the Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testings (CAT, ELAT, HAT, MAT, MLAT, PAT, TSA S1, TSA) on 2 November 2022 due to extreme weather.

In accordance with government guidelines, all International Examinations will be cancelled or postponed under the No. 8 Storm Signal. 

For the safety of all customers, partners and our employees, this means that the CAAT scheduled at 3pm today will be cancelled.

The British Council has already contacted Cambridge University Press and Assessment, who will in turn inform the University of Oxford. The University and Examinations Board do not offer contingency dates for these tests.

As one of the organisations administering the testing in Hong Kong, British Council will : 

•           Process a full refund for all CAAT test takers impacted

•           Help to submit special consideration forms for test takers by 8 November 2022

FAQ on Cancellation of Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testings (CAAT)

1. My CAAT Admissions Tests (CAT, ELAT, HAT, MAT, MLAT, PAT, TSA S1, TSA) on 2 November is cancelled due to T8, when will it be rescheduled?

2. I received a notification about my CAAT being cancelled due to T8, but there will be no rescheduling of the testings, what should I do?

3. Why can’t the British Council arrange a rescheduling of the testing?

British Council Hong Kong is an organisation administering the testings in Hong Kong on behalf of the Cambridge University Press and Assessment.  

We have a duty to put the safety of all customers, partners and employees at our priority. We also have the obligation to observe government guidelines and policy from the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority under extreme weather condition.

We have already contacted Cambridge University Press and Assessment, who will in turn inform the University of Oxford. Unfortunately, the University and Examinations Board do not offer contingency dates for these tests.

4. How can the British Council help test takers who are affected by the cancelled CAAT?
