New Perspectives in English Language Teaching and Learning
New Perspectives is a new British Council conference and policy dialogue series which will share best practice and explore ideas on the future of English language teaching and learning. Our inaugural conference will take place in Hong Kong in 2021.
New Perspectives aims to:
- establish a platform for practitioners, researchers and policy makers to come together and explore both current best practice and future innovation.
- provide a unique space in which regional policy makers, educational professionals, academics and teachers, as well as business professionals and organisations, can interact, exchange knowledge and stay up-to-date on the leading developments in the field.
- develop long-lasting and mutually beneficial partnerships between the UK and locally based organisations and institutions.
With a focus on English language teaching and learning, the inaugural New Perspectives conference is aimed at academics, policy makers and practitioners from Hong Kong, the UK and East Asia, as well as other stakeholders with an interest in the role of English language teaching and learning in education systems.
