What’s the purpose of the project?
This Quality Education Fund project, ‘Developing English language skills through the integration of tablets at Junior Secondary level’ has been run with three secondary schools since 2015/16.
The project has provided professional development and co-planning sessions for English language teachers to explore the uses of learning technologies using tablets for language learning with junior secondary students. It has also provided collaborative opportunities between the schools to share experiences gained during the classroom try-outs and hear reflections from students.
The objective of the project is to provide motivating ways for students to develop their English language skills and to support the collaboration between teachers within schools and between schools.
