‘Daniel Radcliffe and Joshua McGuire are a delightful double act.’ ★★★★ Daily Telegraph
‘Fizzes with life’ ★★★★ Observer
‘A whirlwind of wordplay’ ★★★★ Financial Times

Director : David Leveaux
Cast : Daniel Radcliffe, Joshua McGuire and David Haig
Language: English (Chinese subtitles)
Duration: 178 minutes

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) returns to the stage to star in Tom Stoppard’s brilliantly funny classic Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, with rising theatre star Joshua McGuire (The Hour) and veteran actor David Haig (Four Weddings and a Funeral).

Against the backdrop of Hamlet, two hapless minor characters – Rosencrantz and Guildenstern– take centre stage. As the young double act stumble their way in and out of the action of Shakespeare’s iconic drama, they become increasingly out of their depth as their version of the story unfolds.

The Tony-nominated director David Leveaux brings this quickfire comedy back to The Old Vic in London where it first premiered 50 years ago. The play’s nimble wit and linguistic dexterity made a young Tom Stoppard’s name overnight, launching a memorable writing career on stage and screen, which includes the Oscar winning Shakespeare in Love and Joe Wright’s bold reimagining of Anna Karenina.
