First Visit 5 – 16 October 2015
World Voice Hong Kong’s first visit and demonstration session were held successfully on 5-16 October 2015. This is a pilot year in Hong Kong and we are honoured to receive generous support from The Swire Group Charitable Trust. We successfully recruited eight local primary schools from Tuen Mun, Tin Shu Wai and Sham Shui Po area, and there are 15 classes from Primary 1 – Primary 3 with 360+ students and 20+ principal and teachers involved in this one-year programme. We are delighted to have Mr. Richard Frostick, World Voice Artistic Director and Trainer for World Voice Hong Kong to conduct the pilot training.
The two-week schedule was very packed but fruitful with lots of excitement. The programme started with a full-day training workshop for teachers. It was a good opportunity for them to understand the programme; realised the importance of music for children’s cognitive development, and how to use singing as a pedagogical tool more often in the classes.
