The Alumni UK Symposium 2025 is an exclusive conference for all UK alumni in East Asia to come together and exchange insights on culture, economic, development and organisational issues that impact our world today. 

Under the theme ‘Shaping your Future’, the Alumni UK Symposium 2025 in Hong Kong will explore the unique opportunities and challenges that exist in East Asia and how UK alumni can leverage their diverse backgrounds, experiences, and expertise to make a meaningful impact.

Admission is free. Seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX)

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is one of the world’s major exchange groups, and operates a range of equity, commodity, fixed income and currency markets. InvestHK

InvestHK is the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government Department responsible for Foreign Direct Investment. Their vision is to strengthen Hong Kong’s status as the leading international business location in Asia: 

  • They work with overseas and Mainland entrepreneurs, SMEs and multinationals that wish to set up an office – or expand their existing business – in Hong Kong.  
  • They offer free advice and services to support companies from the planning stage right through to the launch and expansion of their business.

West Kowloon Cultural District (WestK)

Established by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2008, the West Kowloon Cultural District (WestK) is one of the largest and most significant cultural projects in the world. 

Spanning 40 hectares of reclaimed land alongside Victoria Harbour, WestK integrates arts and culture, education, open spaces, Hotel, Office and Residential Developments, and Retail, Dining and Entertainment facilities. Upon completion, WestK will offer about 23 hectares of public open space, a two-kilometre harbourfront promenade, and a variety of arts and cultural facilities hosting worldclass exhibitions, performances, and events.

UK alumni will have the opportunity to explore one of these two iconic museums in WestK: 

  • M+: As an Asia's first global museum of contemporary visual culture in Hong Kong, M+ is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the 20th and 21st centuries. It is also one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world. 
  • Hong Kong Palace Museum: The Hong Kong Palace Museum aspires to be a leading cultural institution committed to the study and appreciation of Chinese art and culture while advancing dialogue among world civilisations. The Hong Kong Palace Museum is a collaborative project between the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and the Palace Museum. Embracing new curatorial approaches, the Museum offers a Hong Kong perspective and a global vision, presenting the finest objects from the Palace Museum and other important cultural institutions around the world.
