In this session, we will explore what health and well-being means to refugees and asylum seekers in Hong Kong.

Jeffrey Andrews, Manager of Christian Action, will tell us about his work in supporting this vulnerable group. We will also hear from two refugees as part of a Human Library , where they will share their unique and diverse stories before answering your questions about their lives, in a judgement-free space. The goal of this activity is to empower these individuals and to raise awareness about their situations.

We will also learn more about the Transitions programme, a partnership between the British Council and Christian Action’s Centre for Refugees, which provides English language tuition to refugees and asylum seekers in Hong Kong.

We will finish with a drumming performance and an experiential workshop, with the opportunity to explore a photo exhibition and discover handmade crafts.
