“Fashioning Wellness” is an exhibition that aims to foster a greater understanding and appreciation for the role of fashion in shaping a healthier future, showcasing the works of outstanding alumni from the Nottingham Trent University (NTU) BA (Hons) Fashion Design programme, who have made significant contributions to the fields of wellness, mental health, and social and environmental good through a diverse range of innovative fashion collections.
Visitors will be introduced to creative ideas such as incorporating traditional Chinese dyeing technique into contemporary fashion, exploring outdoor camping fashion during the pandemic, and utilising deconstruction techniques with a focus on cultural appreciation.
The SPARK Talk event aims to inspire and educate the audience about the transformative potential of fashion in promoting holistic wellness, providing a platform for designers, NTU teachers and students to share their insights and experiences on how fashion creatives can contribute to well-being and health.
