This project explores the specific link between public art and wellbeing through practical workshops and a roundtable discussion:

  1. Designed by Dr Jacek Ludwig Scarso in collaboration with The Line Team, the open access public workshops focus on engaging with how it feels like to be near artworks outdoors, how these change our perception of the surrounding environment and, crucially, how their encounter informs our wellbeing for a more friendly and more inclusive experience of the city. Each session, lasting 90 minutes, allows participants to explore public artworks outdoors, engage in simple creative tasks, document and share their experience.
  2. A roundtable event, moderated by Dr Jacek Ludwig Scarso and featuring representatives from The Line and Public Art Hong Kong, explores new ways of addressing the value of Public Art in relation to wellbeing. The roundtable is an opportunity to compare practices in London and Hong Kong and consider new strategies that could be developed as a result. The audience is welcome to contribute to the discussion, providing the perspective of the visitor in reflecting upon the challenges and potentials of such approaches.
