“Time Keeps the Drummer” will premiere in WestK FunFest in 2025. Audiences are invited to join the development part of the show for a sound experience and creative workshop by partner organisations Fevered Sleep and WestK.
Slow down, connect, rest, listen and reflect by remotely experiencing a sound piece by Fevered Sleep and award-winning composer and turntablist Mariam Rezaei, followed by a workshop between Fevered Sleep’s Artistic Directors, Sam Butler & David Harradine and West Kowloon Cultural District Authority Head of Learning & Participation (Performing Arts), Winsome Tam. The workshop discusses the research and development process since 2021 and the key themes that underpin the upcoming show, including clock time, children’s relationship to time, decentralising productivity, recentring community, kindness and attentive care. The audience is welcome to take part in this workshop, providing an opportunity for intergenerational learning and sharing, plus collective imagining of alternative ways of being.
