STEM education takes to the stage! Eye of the Storm is a new musical play set in the Welsh Valleys to an original country music track by British singer-songwriter and Grammy Award Winner Amy Wadge (co-writer of Thinking Out Loud with Ed Sheeran). Hong Kong and Asian premiere.

Written by Theatr na nÓg Artistic Director Geinor Styles and with a cast of eight actor-musicians who perform the music live on stage, this story focuses on Emmie, from the South Wales valleys, who dreams of being a storm-chaser. Emmie aspires to make something of her life. She desperately wants to leave her humdrum existence to study meteorology, and in particular, storms and tornadoes in Midwest America. But as Emmie strives to reach the eye of the storm, the turmoil of her home life threatens to overwhelm her, as she struggles to be the sole carer for her mother who suffers from bipolar disorder. Emmie must decide between pursuing her passion and her duty to her mother. Experience the power of a tornado live on stage, as Emmie fights to keep her place on her course and win the STEM competition with her invention for renewable energy.
