Become a superhero at Tai Kwun!
Using just phones, ingenuity and English language skills, participants in this interactive, augmented reality experience will form part of a team of superheroes seeking to recapture some dangerous escapees before they wreak havoc on Tai Kwun, a former prison.
Staff and students from a range of courses in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Coventry University and from Hong Kong Design Institute have collaborated to design the world premiere of this entirely original experience. It’s the first event of its kind that marries immersive technology with immersive theatre techniques to make a unique and memorable English-language learning experience. Students and young people will be enthused to learn English through the use of technology, while teachers will get an idea of how such technologies and techniques can be applied to enhance their own teaching practice.
